Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics (ParCFD) Conference 2013 is the 25th of series of series of annual international meetings since 1989 dedicated to the discussion of most recent developments and applications of parallel computing in the field of CFD and related disciplines. ParCFD conferences are truly multi-cultural and international attracting many researchers across the globe with diverse technical expertise either as developers or users of CFD technologies.
Since establishment of the conference series, parallel computers have become the dominant form of large-scale computing. Emergence of multi-core and heterogeneous architectures in parallel computers has created new challenges and opportunities for applications research and performance optimization in advanced CFD technology.
Previous conference sessions have involved papers on parallel algorithms, developments in software tools and environments, unstructured adaptive mesh applications, industrial applications, atmospheric and oceanic global simulation, interdisciplinary applications, and evaluation of computer architectures and software environments.
As in the past years, ParCFD 2013 will include contributed and invited papers. The conference program will mainly consist of contributed lectures to all scientific/technical areas of the conference. ParCFD2013 topics include, but are not limited to:
Complex 3D Flow
Flows with Moving Interfaces
Fluid-Structure Interaction
Aerodynamics
Hydrodynamics
Turbulence
Multi-Disciplinary Design Optimization
Acoustics
Atmospheric & Ocean Modeling
Combustion
Plasma Dynamics
Parallel CPU and GPU Implementations
Extremely Large-Scale Computations
Tera- and Peta-Scale Computing
Parallel Meshing
Parallel Algorithms & Solvers
Parallel Software Development
Parallel Software Frameworks
Parallel Pre- and Post-Processing
Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Applications
Industrial Applications
Environmental Engineering Application
Medical & Biological Applications
Multi-Scale & Multi-Physics Applications
All submissions are peer-reviewed. The accepted papers will be published (online) in Procedia Engineering by Elsevier and
CCIS proceedings publication by springer
. Procedia Engineering is on Elsevier content platformScienceDirect, and will also be indexed by Scopus. All papers in Procedia Engineering will be submitted for EI Indexing. Nearly every year, 40 articles
published on computers & fluids.
As in past years, ParCFD 2013 will include contributed and invited papers, panel discussions, and mini-workshops with specific themes. Researchers in the fields of high-performance computing and CFD are invited to submit extended abstracts of 3-8 pages with key figures and references that present recent unpublished developments, original research findings, and emerging challenges.
